One continuous pour instead of set blocks
Most bed edging comes in pieces - plastic strip, cut stone, or precast block laid end to end, every joint a place for grass to creep through and mulch to wash out. Poured curbing is one continuous run instead, formed and finished on site so it follows whatever curve the bed actually needs rather than the straight segments a block allows. We finish it grey with a white diamond inlay pattern, laid in long sweeping curves rather than short straight runs, which is the kind of detail that reads as intentional from the street rather than assembled.
Where curbing fits into a bigger job
Curbing almost always pairs with a planting or a mulch bed rather than standing alone - it is the edge that holds the bed in place once the plants and mulch go in, not a decoration on an empty strip of dirt. On its own it can look unfinished; poured against a properly planted bed, it is the line that makes the whole bed hold its shape through a Georgia summer of rain.

What a curb line actually does for a bed
Beyond how it looks, a poured curb keeps mulch from washing into the lawn during heavy rain and keeps grass from creeping into the bed between mowings. It is functional edging that happens to also be the most visible line on the property, which is why the finish on it matters as much as the function.
The pour itself
Curbing is formed and poured in place, run by run, so a long curve stays one unbroken line rather than a series of short segments trying to fake a curve. The diamond inlay is worked into the surface while the concrete is still workable, then the whole run is left to cure before the bed around it gets finished.
